Hi

Quick question, i have my first pc build i wanna build
I have some other similar post but with some different components. But i think i am going with this build.

  • My pc build:

  • Motherboard: MSI MK MPG Z690 EDGE WIFI DDR4
  • CPU: Intel Core i9-12900K
  • CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L V2
  • GPU: Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 3080 Ti MASTER
  • Ram: G.Skill TridentZ Neo Series - 64GB: 2x32GB - DDR4 - 3600MHz
  • PC Fans: Cooler master sickleflow 120 argb
  • Storage: Samsung 980 SSD PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2 - 500GB
  • PSU: Cooler Master V Series V850 SFX
  • Case: Lian li O11 Dynamic mini

  • Questions:

  • 1. Is my current PSU enough to power this build?
  • 2. would my components fitt in the case? And would the PSU fit aswell? if not any tips to another?
  • 3. Do i need anything else?
  • 4. What bracket do i have to get for my cpu cooler to me mounted to my motherboard?
  • 5. I never build a pc, so my knowledge is almost at 0. Would everyhing work together, like the cpu and motherboard, the fans etc etc etc

I have around 1 hour left to buy the things, so i really need help asap <3
With your 1500 dollar budget in mind I would do this

  1. No, even though Coolermaster makes some decent PSUs I avoid them altogether because they also make a lot of crappy ones too. Get a Seasonic, Corsair, Superflower Ledex 3 or an EVGA G2/G3/G5/G6 instead and many others.
  2. Yes.
  3. Yes.

Yes it's absolutely fine, a high quality paste. I've been using Noctua NT-H1 for desktop and laptop for many years. Also anything Noctua does is high quality, well known fact of the universe :)

The PSU has enough wattage for the PC, but I have issues with Coolermaster PSUs. I have some questions; Do you need 64gb of RAM? Do you need the additional 4 efficiency cores on the 12900k over the 12700k? Do you already have the Gigabyte 3080ti purchased?

If you do not need the above mentioned extra RAM and eCores on the CPU I would personally do something like this, especially if you care for RGB (if you dont we can change some things to save a bit on money).

Hi, well first of all thank you so mutch for taking the time to help! Really really appricated it <3
  1. I have the 3080 TI just waiting to be used (so yes :D)
  2. I do need 64GB of ram, duo to so many task running in the backgrounds
  3. I would love to have the Lian Li uni sl120, but its a little over budget with 6-7 fans. Thats why i went with the others. Are they bad the ones i have listed?
  4. Last but not least. Any other tips to a PSU with enough Watt and would fit in my case?

While I normally agree about CM psus, the V isn't in the same class as almost all others.
If you need a strong enough power supply to deal with one of the new and powerful graphics cards, either from Nvidia or AMD, the Cooler Master V850 V2 Gold fits the bill. It is a high-performance PSU with silent operation and good enough build quality, supported by a hefty ten-year warranty. It is in the same performance category as the XPG Core Reactor 850 and the Super Flower Leadex III 850. Aris Mpitziopoulos

The 011 mini is an mITX case. It supports ITX and mATX motherboards only. You chose a full size ATX mobo, it's not going to fit. I'd suggest ITX for space purposes with coolers.

The ML240L is junk. It's the 'lite' version, basically as bad as it gets and you will have an extremely hard time keeping a 12900k cool under moderate-heavy loads for extended periods. Look for the Arctic liquid Freezer II 280mm instead.

CM Sickle flow are not that good, for most applications. Tend to be rather noisy at mid-high rpm. I'd forgo the argb aspect and use 3x Arctic F12 at top exhaust, the aio mounted to the side.

Rest is fine.

Hi, thanks for your feedback

I always want to be 110% sure, thats why i am here and appricate every feedback.
Looking at https://pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/?compatible_with=ByJmP6 - the motherboard i have do fit?

Now i am confused :D

I must have had a stroke because I was recommending a "better" SFX PSU to a build while simultaneously recommending an ATX motherboard for small form factor case...

***Edit, I was not having a stroke, the o11 dynamic mini can fit full sized ATX motherboards...

The motherboard you picked is too big for the case, so you either need to get the bigger version of that case or get a mATX or ITX form factor motherboard to fit into that case. I already looked and there are no good options for an mATX or ITX motherboard for that build unless you go for a DDR5 motherboard and DDR5 RAM which is exspensive and there are no 64gb RAM kits to choose from for DDR5. You can get 2 2x16gb DDR5 kits though for 64gb of RAM but that is like 1500 dollars. Let me see if its doable with a 1500 budget for that case and DDR5.
Hi thanks, bare with me here :D

I searched on the internet, and every webside i went to says the motherboard does fit in my Lian Li o11 Mini case. I am really confused right now?
Why would other websides tell it fits, and why isn't it from your perspective?

Thanks
