Hi, Im building a gaming pc and its my first build so i could use some help. Are all of these parts compatible and am I going overkill on anything. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Processor- Intel core i7-3770k 3.5 GHz (3.9 GHz turbo)

Motherboard- ASUS P8Z77-V LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Graphics Card- GIGABYTE GV-N670OC-2GD GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

If this is pure gaming, then the i7 is overkill, the motherboard is overpriced, the PSU is also overpriced (different offerings for much less offer similar performance and also have somewhat of the same efficiency. From Bronze to Gold it's not a huge deal you won't take any huge hit on your power bill) and your ram is overkill as well..

Better GPU, better in terms of balanced as in you don't need an i7 and the motherboard will perform the same for less and allow you to Crossfire/SLI at 8x/8x, the PSU is cheaper and modular while still outputing just as good peerformance, the SSD will speed up boot times immensely and yeah.

Also it should be noted, CLOCK FOR CLOCK, the 7970 is even better than the GTX 680, something that will obviously beat the GTX 670:

Most 7970's come stock 1GHZ as you can see, a 1GHZ 7970 beats a 1006mhz GTX 680.
