Hello Everyone,

I decided to build my first Desktop. I have a budget around $1300. I think I have done lots of research and I am pretty sure I made the right choice on my components. I was wondering if I could get any thoughts on my build, and if there should/could be any changes to it that would make it better.

Thanks in advanced! My build is as follows.

CPU - Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost)

Motherboard - ASRock P67 EXTREME4 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67

Hard Drive - Western Digital Caviar Black500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"

Case - LIAN LI PC-7B plus II Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

PSU - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V v2.2 SLI

Video Card - Radeon HD 6950 2GB

Ram - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3

Monitor - ASUS VH222H-P Black 21.5" 5ms HDMI Widescreen

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit

LITE-ON CD/DVD Burner

The Sata 6gb/s doesnt make an HDD faster, because the Sata 3gb/s connection isnt a limiting factor. Nothing wrong with the HDD you chose, this one just happens to be faster, quieter, and roughly the same price:

Also consider this, as its also a great HDD, and much cheaper than either with the combo discount:

Go to a store and check out monitors to make sure the size suits you.

Great build, good luck.
