First Computer Build Help

Hey there. I have never attempted to build a computer from scratch, but I'm finally getting sick and tired of using my 2009 HP Desktop. My main interest are video editing and gaming. I'd love to be able to play my favorite games with no lag and be able to actually view my videos when editing, without my computer bugging out. If anyone has suggestions on what to buy/use for this, that'd be fantastic. Thank you so, so much!
