The 125w FX is not going to run very well on that motherboard. You need one of these-

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P
Asus M5A97 or EVO or PRO (R.2 as well)
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3
MSI 970 GAMING
MSI 970A SLI Krait (USB 3.1 supported)
ASRock Fatal1ty Performance

Agreed. And that's not even taking into account any future overclocking.

I recommend the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P. 8+2 phase power WITH LLC. This is one of the only 970 boards that includes LLC. Pretty much a must have for FX 8 core.

Also, you are combining a powerful CPU with an entry level graphics card. The 750ti will hold you back.

A more balanced combination would be something like an FX 6300 or 6350 + R9 270/270x or 280/280x. The 6300 has a terrible stock heatsink, so plan on spending another $25-30 for at least a Hyper 212 EVO. OR get the FX 6350, which has the same style stock heatsink as the 8320/8350...much better and only $20 more. You'll get 4.4-4.5 GHz easily with this CPU-MoBo-HSF combo. Plenty for gaming.

This setup will be good for medium-to-High in most games, with some able to handle Ultra. Here's some recent sample vide from a gift PC I built for a friend. FX 6350 @ 4.6GHz + R9 280 (HD 7950 GHz ed.) The performance reflected in these vids is WHILE RECORDING / STREAMING. It will be even better when just playing.

GW2 is fairly optimized and will use 3-4 CPU cores well.
Valley only uses 1 CPU core, but even on High it ran well.

And if you really want to get crazy...here's an FX 6350 @ 4.8 GHZ with a GTX 970 just blasting through the notoriously brutal Metro 2033 benchmark.
