Hello :)

So this is going to be my first build.

My main concern is that the components (cpu cooler, ram, motherboard, video card, etc)
won't all fit inside the case or that some parts won't give sufficient clearance for others.

I don't want to be missing something and when everything is delivered I won't be able to assemble it all.

From my research it seems that all the parts theoretically should go perfectly well.

Here are the parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9fCDvV

Solution

To me, the build as it was when I seen this post, isn't too bad at all. One thing I might suggest, to cut down on cables is to use the M.2 version of that SSD.

Some minor tweaks here on my part:
RAM is RAM is RAM now days. You can go with your choice, or...
Corsair ML fans need true PWM headers.
your Mainboard doesn't supply those.

unless you're set on the R1 ultimate, there are coolers out there that are just as good while being cheaper.
like a Noctua NH-D15 or a Phanteks TC14 or even a Scythe Mugen Max
not a fan of WD Blue SSDs

I'd suggest:

Thanks so much :)

I was definitely not set on the cooler and will change it.

I have previous experience with crucial and since it will be my ssd I don't think i'll take a chance this time with one i haven't worked with before.

Thanks for the heads up on the fans as well.

Some minor tweaks here on my part:
RAM is RAM is RAM now days. You can go with your choice, or you can go with the G.Skill RAM I chose here. I don't think clearance will be a major issue, but if it is... go ahead and stick with the Phanteks cooler or switch back to the RAM you originally chose.

M.2 SSD, no cables to worry about... same speed and performance... and (when I put this together, a few cents cheaper.)

Slightly cheaper MoBo. I'd say just as good too.

Change of coolers. This one is cheaper, and cools super good. Only caveat is RAM clearance might be an issue. so you can either switch back if it is an issue or switch the RAM back (or both) if necessary.

No worries on the Hitachi drive. They're good drives from my experience.
