Hi,
I am looking to build a PC that is fairly small and can do gaming, work and video editing. The games that will be run are Battlefield 4 and others at such. It has to be able to run programs such as Microsoft word and adobe after effects. I have put together a build that I think might suit my needs. Please make suggestions to the build and help me out. My budget is around the $1400 Au. Also I need a good 23 inch monitor for $300 Au at the max that will be good for gaming.
Thankyou very much.

Adobe products utilize Nvidia GPUs faster than AMD's cards. Plus, there was no way you can get a high end system with an i7 at your budget. I also added an extra 8GB to your build, as you video edit, you need that room to render faster. Such a shame there is a high tax on components in your country. Here is my build for you -

for just gaming and editing (Not 3D modeling and heavy rendering) you can have a 8 core AMD cheaper better solution too.

Now choice is yours mate :d

Thanks for all your replys!
I have a couple questions. The first one is that I have always been told that you should get an i7 core for video editing also what do you mean by you can't get a i7 with your budget? Do you mean that it is to much when you could replace the saved money with say ram?
Also my bad, I thought the gtx770 was a lot more than the r9 280x. That's why I went with that.
Thankyou very much

first of all GTX 770 and GTX 780 are the most powerful GPUs after titan.
R9 280x is nothing more but a HD7970 (renamed) not even a single bit different than that.
it is true you should get i7 for video related work.but it was totally true untill FX-8xxx series came in market it has physical 8 cores .
Yeah. it has little bit weaker cores then intel i7 but its like 100 and 95 difference trust me with a gtx 780 and 8 gb ram you can over run this difference.i have tested it my self 1 month ago and results where awesome.
i'd tested in After effects , premier pro , and photoshop.CC. Also in AVS video edition and Majix audio rendering too.
Remember to select the best answer that will help other to make quick selection 😀

Holy Cow...did you noticed TAX man ...it's nightmare .
and plz explain a little how adobe utilize Nvidia Gpu more then AMD.
i'm totally blank in this thing..in real time i noticed that but theoretically i don't know reason.
Plz advise.

Fx-8350 is the highest till now.
its not truly equal but its like 100 and 97 but with other good parts you can make it 100 and 100.
but for a low price good performance Fx-8320 is just fine.its slightly low then Fx-8350. both have 8 cores
