Hello everyone, I'm currently planning on building a brand new desktop computer and would like some advice on components. The purpose of this build is to use programs like Autodesk CAD and others in the same suite as well as gaming on the side such as Fallout 3/NV with mods, Skyrim, and GTA IV/V with mods. I've already put together a list of parts but I'm not sure if it is overkill for my needs and budget. Currently the build is $700 which is doable but would rather it trimmed to around $400-500. Brands of individual components like coolers, fans, or disk drives don't bother me, but I've been looking at Intel and Nvidia as CPU/GPU. Also, I do not need a monitor, keyboard, or mice as I'm using a tv as a monitor already. Here is the build on pcpartspicker. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gZx7bv

Thanks in advance to any who input advice.

Uprade the CPU to a 6 core or if you want a really good CPU go with 8 core. A quad core may work just barely for now but in a year you will have to upgrade it to play this big games. If you need money to upgrade to CPU then take some off of the RAM. 8 gigs is PLENTY if it is 1600 frequency or higher, yet you have 16 gigs with 1866 frequency. That is overkill.

Thanks for the advice superstar, I'll take that into account. Shame no one else commented on the thread.
