Hi All,
Spent a few hours Overclocking my CPU tonight and wanted to get your thoughts on the results thus far.

This is the first time I've ever overclocked anything so any comments are welcome!

ASRock Z77 Extreme4
i5-3570k
Hyper 212 EVO

I used prime95 as the benchmark and CPU-Z and hwmonitor.

I started at 5 Ghz, and went down from there
Idle:
1.6 GHz
Core Voltage (CPU-Z): .928
Core Temps (Min): 28-31-29-26

100% Load (Prime95 Blend mode), 8 hours
4.5 GHz
Core Voltage (CPU-Z): 1.152
Core Temp (Max): mid to high 60s

I am still not pushing 70 with the Evo Hyper 212 so I am not too concerned with this. I had no crashes or BSoD while running at 4.5GHz. I will have to run this using a game, but so far so good I think.

Any thoughts/comments for this rookie?

Thank you sir, never Overclocked anything in my life before so just checking in with the pros :)

The highest the temps got were like 70c in hwmonitor "package" temps read out, but individual core temps never went higher then 64-67c.

Right now in idle state just surfing the web my temps 21c-27c-16c-14c.

So I ran Prime for about 34hrs and the highest recorded "package" temp in Hwmonitor was 71c each individual core never went higher then 63c, so I can say my OC is stable and I'll just leave as is. :)

Thank you guys for your replies. :)
