Just always looked here for quick answers and etc..figured now that I'm going to actually try to build a gaming pc from the ground up I'd start a thread of my own. Opinions/input very welcome.

USAGE Plan on using it for raiding in WoW. Using custom UI's while also recording them in fraps or streaming with xfire. WoW's really they only game I play, but I want to run it well.

I went with some of these based off of ratings from Newegg and from current rebates and etc. I prefer to keep this PC in the range of 700-900 dollars but I can vary from that a bit. As this is my first build fully solo, I'm not sure if all the parts (cable wise and etc) come with them and etc.

I'm on my mobile so sorry for short response
if your set on that Mobo, change the ram kit to either 4 or 8GB, its a dual channel board and your current choice is a triple channel kit,
not familiar with the 550 but should be a good card imo,
and yes, your mobo will come with a couple of sata leads, caseleads (frontpanel) will be fitted to the panel and you fit to the mobo's front panel header, graphics cards usually come with the relevent molex>4/6/8pin power adapter (psu should have one but say your card needs two,or your adding a second card, you need the adapter to power it)

I realize that card has a reputation and all... I guess as long as it has the lifetime warranty it's an OK deal. I just don't like the idea of buying a heavily overclocked card that's operating so far beyond what the reference cards were designed for.

Unless you plan on over clocking your RAM...just get that RAM I posted. The cpu comes with a heat sink with pre applied thermal paste so no need for the CM 212 and the thermal compound. And if that h/d you found is an EIDE...then forget it. Just grab what I posted up top....start out with a new h/d, etc...and build it. You managed to screw yourself on the vid card and for the same price I posted minus a h/d in your build. CL9 is fine for this build.

Right, the cooler was more for the 2500K, since it's an overclocking CPU.

However, the RAM you posted is more expensive than what I posted... but you have to be an e-blast subscriber to use the promo code. CL7 may not make an appreciable difference, but it does make some slight difference.

MoBo- I'd stick w/ the Asus and it's 3 year warranty....Although I will us Asrock with a user on a tight budget, simply put, ya can't cut price without cutting the cost of ya components ..... better components = longer warranty.

GFX I'd find a way to move up to a 560 (900 Mhz) just $26 more for a huuuge performance boost
