Solution
Your setup seems alright. No need to switch to FX8350 in my eyes but you might need a better PSU. 600W atleast I think. Maybe an Antec High 620W?
Still dont You Think R9 280x will give him alot of difference in graphics ?

All the components are fine and compatible. I would suggest you not to go with CX 500W PSU, its not that good. You can go with HX or TX series better than CX series. Or this one :

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Power Supply: XFX 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($82.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $82.99
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

And if you have the budget then go with GTX 770.

Your build is perfectly fine, there is NO need for aftermarket cooling on a non K processor. It won't run hot assuming you have decent ventilation. You can go the AMD route if you want but this build should play any game that exists and do so rather well.

Ofcourse the R9 280x would be better, but he might be on a limited budget. It's not necessarry to switch his processor and gpu as it will run games just fine. That's what I meant.

If you are not looking to overclock, save yourself the cash and get a cheaper motherboard and a non k i5 processor and ditch the cooler. Otherwise, this pretty much fits your budget

Thanks very much!
