First Gaming Build, looking for advice

I wanted to do a gaming build for awhile now, and I have an idea of what to build from using pcpartpicker.com and some research from various other sites. I am interested in overclocking the CPU, and wanted to be sure on a good cooler for it. I have an overall $2000 cap.

The build:

CPU - Intel Core i7-5820K
CPU Cooler - Phanteks PH-TC12DX_BL 68.5 CFM CPU Cooler (other recoomendations?)
Motherboard - MSI X99S SLI Krait ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ( other recommendations? )
Memory - Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Video card - EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card
SSD - Intel 330 Series 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Case - Corsair Carbide Series 300R Windowed ATX Mid Tower Case
PSU - Corsair CSM 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Optical - Samsung SH-224BB DVD/CD Writer

Uses:
Gaming
possible game development
general use (programming, watching videos, etc.)

if this is going to be ur first build don't over clock I did that once and messed up my cpu and damaged my mobo
also if it is not ur first bulid need to know if u are going to slightly oc or to the edge.

For gaming there is no need for a x99 platform. Go for a 4790k and a z97 and you'll save enough to get either another 970(sli) or a 980. The cs series aren't very good especially for the price get a 750w Evga g2 instead.

Hey like your current build but I don't understand why the cpu ? go with a 4770k or 4790K its plenty good even for compiling the biggest of programs and games. And i personally would go with a 970 sli if possible with the extra money that you save from the cpu. And also i would go with a evga being using them since launch and have not had a single problem i always go a extra 100w above what i need so maybe that saves my ass 😀 even with the flaws your pc is still better than my first!
