Having been unable to find a website I trusted enough to build one for me, I'm finally going to try and do one of these myself. Scared of throwing $2000 down the drain, but it'll be a good experience I guess. I'm not good at these things and very much not confident about it!

I'm building a pc just for gaming, with an emphasis on quiet. I'm willing to pay extra for significant noise reduction gains, but would like to keep the total in the $1600-2000 range. In the past I've always just bought a new rig every 3-4 years and hope to get that out of this one. I won't be overclocking anything, or using multiple gpus.

I've put together some initial parts, but have no idea what to watch out for in terms of case compatibility, and am unsure whether to go with liquid cooling but am assuming it is much quieter. I had a machine once that had that and it looked intimidating; I'm not a very good do-it-yourselfer, if liquid cooling is complex or requires constant upkeep please let me know and I'll just get the quietest fans I can, they've done alright lately.

Intel core i-5 4590
NZXT Kraken liquid cooling
Asus z97 pro wifi-ac mobo
2x8GB corsair vengeance ddr3 1600 ram
Samsung 850 Pro 512GB SSD
Gigabyte GTX 970 Windforce
Corsair AX 760W psu

I chose the Windforce gigabyte gtx 970 as it said windforce series had improved cooling and was quieter, which is a word I really like but am unsure if it actually does anything or I'm just throwing away another $20 or so for nothing. Also, the 760W was the smallest tier 1 psu i could find though the power requirements thread said 500 minimum for a single 970 card; not sure if reducing the psu to a tier 2 of 550 or 600W would improve cooling or noise.

If there are any newbie mistakes I'm making or I could save significant money with a minor downgrade in performance please let me know, and thanks very much for your help.
