Hi guys, I'm new here and I want your help with my first gaming build.

Aproximate Purchase Date: in 1 or 2 months

Budget Range: around 1500$

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, HighSchool projects with adobe premiere or unreal engine, watching movies

Are you buying a monitor: Yes BenQ XL2411Z 1920X1080


Parts to buy:

  • Cpu: Intel i5 6600k
    Gpu: Sapphire r9 390
    PSU: Cooler Master G650M
    MotherBoard: Msi Z170A Gaming M3
    Cpu Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
    HD: Seagate SSHD 1TB 7200rpm 64mb SATA-III
    SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
    Case: Zalman Z11 Neo...? (I don't know yet, if you know something cool let me know)
    RAM: HyperX Fury Black 8x2GB DDR4 2133MHz

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Location: Romania

Parts Preferences: anything good

Overclocking: Yes (for CPU, I want to oc it to 4.5Ghz or maybe 4.2Ghz)

SLI or Crossfire: No...maybe in the future

Additional Comments: Can I make this build cheaper without losing any performance?

Solution
With that GPU, the 620w would be the better choice. The 390 is quite power hungry. I would look at a bit higher wattage, if at all possible, just for a some overclocking headroom.
