Hey all,

I’m trying to figure out the real world difference between two similar prices Corsair monitors.

27” OLED 1440p 240 hz

Or

32” IPS 4k 165 HZ

I know 4k is good but that’s about all I know about monitors.

I don't know a whole lot about this stuff, but I can tell you the following:

1440p or 2K resolution is adequate for most, and 4K is the next step up. If you are really looking for high pixel quality and granularity, then go for 4K. If you aren't too picky and just want good detail, then 1440p is totally fine and will save you lots of money.

OLED is known for its really dark blacks and color vibrancy, so if that sounds good to you then look for OLED monitors. That being said, OLED is typically more expensive and some of the more advanced non-OLED products can be competitive in terms of performance.

You have a big size difference, 32" vs 27". I prefer a 32" size but 27" is still relatively large and plenty good for gaming. But remember the bigger you go, the more stretched out your resolution is. So 4K for the bigger size screen will definitely compensate.

Lastly, you mentioned refresh rate. Both monitors are over 120 which is what I look for. If you are PC gaming, then you can use all the different increments they offer like 144 and 165 Hz, but if you're using an Xbox or something, 120 is the limit so anything over and it doesn't matter.

Hope this helps.
