First gaming PC build, thoughts? Advice?

About to order parts for my first build. I have very little knowledge about the components, just want something that will preform great with games and last a while. And isn't too fancy to put together !

Anyone have advice about what i've chosen ??

i don't want anything slowing it up or to be paying for something i don't need. Any help would be much appreciated !! thanks

Looks good, maybe psu a little low power, especially of you do any o/c, go for 650w

Depending on what you are going to play and on what resolution / amount of monitors you could finetune it a bit saving your money.

120GB SSD for storage is pretty small. If you want to use only SSD's to speed up loading, it might be better to go with something a bit bigger 250GB version? Or a 1TB HDD for your storage if you just want more storage.

If you are going to use the GTX780 on 1 monitor on 1080p its really overkill. A GTX770 will have the same performance on 1 monitor and can also run 4K resolution on a stable framerate. (doing this will save you money to get yourself more storage or a better / more powerfull PSU so you can upgrade later down the road).

But thats what i would do. 😛

If by a stable framerate at 4K you mean 30 fps, then yes, a 4GB 770 will generally manage. However, it'll take more than a GTX 770 or GTX 780 to hold 60 fps in most new games at 4K.

At 1080p, a GTX 770 should run pretty much anything at 60 fps, but there are always going to be a few games that require 5x the hardware that they should from terrible optimization, and those few games will not run at 60 fps on a GTX 770. Right now a good example is Watchdogs.

Now, I play games at 30 fps. But I wanted to make it clear that if he's going for 60 fps for a few years, he's much better off with a GTX 780 than a GTX 770.
