I have a 9 year old CyberPower PC gaming PC that is slowly dying on me and its time to get a new gaming rig.

I would not be opposed to buying a new prebuilt but have done quite a bit of reading and I think I can manage to put a computer together.

My PC is used for school and for gaming. I have a budget around $1,000 but am a little flexible I want this PC to last me another 5 years or more. I am not partial to AMD or Intel.

I play WoW, the battlefield games, and would like to be able to enjoy games like Doom and Black Ops 4 on higher quality. I have two monitors and would get a new one if suggested. They are Samsung SyncMaster PX2370 and XL 2370.

I am open to any and all advice as I have not looked into any of this in a while

Thank you

from looking at the specs for clack ops 4 it has an intel i7 for its recommended CPU. so some parts to go with for future proofing would be an 8th gen intel i7 CPU (if wanting to stick with intel then i would wait for 9th gen to come out because it will have more cores and threads then an 8th gen one) with AMD a ryzen 7, maybe go with a GTX 1070/1080, and 16GB minimum
