Budget (including currency): €2000~

Country: Belgium

Games, programs: Popular AAA games, World of Warcraft

Other details: Build can be found here:https://be.pcpartpicker.com/list/3fv978, It's still a rough draft with the help of some friends. I'm not that good with pc parts myself even though i've been gaming since forever. So i'm mainly looking for guidance or suggestions for parts. I currently have a pc with a 1060 but bottlenecked by other parts, i'm opting for a full new build so i can give this one to the gf.

preferably with a card this high powered i'd like to play on 2560 x 1440 144hz. (Also don't care that much about RGB)

Mainly concerned about Motherboard having the right slots and the GPU cooling.

3080 seems good to me over the 3070ti but 3080ti is quite alot more expensive where i live.

And i already have a 1tb ssd

(Had some people suggest the i7-12700F already and a different motherboard.)

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Your build, for a newcomer...is actually fine. The only gripe I have with the build is that you're adding a wireless adapter to the lineup, why not look into a motherboard that has WiFI+BT bundled onto it? Helps keep things sleek. Also, considering multi GPU setups are a thing of the past, being impractical now, why not look into an matx build, shrink the build a little more? Lastly, I'd look into a PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD as the secondary SSD/drive for games. The smaller sized PCIe 3.0 can be for the OS and app's/launchers.

Outside of that, the build is actually good!

On another though, perhaps open another thread for your existing system in hopes that you're not really gifting the system with mistakes off to your gf...? I feel like you could salvage it and then give a somewhat polished rig.

If you don't care about rgb why get ram that has that?

You might be able to save a buck going non rgb.

This is basically the exact list of parts that I want to upgrade to. So I give it a thumbs up. :p

indeed, i missed that one.

GPU wise, Any recommendations? 3080 is for sure, but what type cooling is very unknown to me.
I see no reason at all to get the 5900X processor for a gaming PC, use the extra money to get 2X 140mm fans for the front and a 1TB SSD for the games.

Thanks all for your suggestions so far, I've changed a bit and came to this: https://be.pcpartpicker.com/list/FKrbwc
I really liked that Lian Li case, looks neat. If anything still could be better, feel free. But i feel content about the price and what i'm getting so far.
That MSI board is an excellent board no doubt. It's one drawback is the amount of PCIe lanes that come with the B660 chipset or lack of I should say. It's a great board if you have no plans of running dual M.2 SSD's for the fact it will gimp a second M.2 SSD running it at x4. The H670 chipset on the other hand allows running dual M.2 SSD's without gimping the second M.2 SSD.

https://www.tomshardware.com/news/intel-h670-b660-h610-motherboard-roundup

From the link:
With the 600-series chipset, Intel has once again buffed the DMI link that connects the chipset to the processor. The previous 500-series chipset increased from PCIe 3.0 x4 to PCIe 3.0 x8. For the 600-series, Intel bumped the DMI up to PCIe 4.0 x8, allowing for twice the bandwidth. However, only the Z690 and H670 chipset have the full x8 link, whereas the B660 and H610 chipsets sport an x4 connection.

One other thing. If you play any first person shooter games such as Warzone, Apex Legends, etc ... then you want an IPS G-Sync compatible monitor for the fact it will allow you to utilize Nvidia DLSS & Reflex technologies. I'll use this Gigabyte monitor as an example.
