First new build, no video output, keyboard and mouse lights still come on

So I have started building my first pc, it has

Ryzen 5 2600
ASUS Prime B450-Plus
DDR4 HyperX 8GB
80Plus Bronze 500W power supply

And the graphics card is an old Radeon I have which I'll probably upgrade in winter, along with the power supply which doesn't have support for a new GPU.

Last week I bought a B350 mobo but assumed the BIOS was the problem, as I was not getting lights on my keyboard or mouse when booting - or video signal.

With the new mobo I am getting lights on the mouse and keyboard, and the caps lock and everything works.

All the fans are running, and the mobo lights are on. I didn't seem to get a speaker so I'm not sure about what beeps it's giving, but I am assuming it's probably the gpu.

I have followed the extensive guide on the page for troubleshooting and I have done most but the ones where you need something that can check currents.

The monitor is fine as I use it for most other things, I use a HDMI connection - and I used the GPU in my old build but perhaps it has died since - but again the fan still works.

Thanks for any help.

Solution
Your right. B350 Mobos are for 1st Gen Ryzen CPUs. B450 are for 2nd Gen. These can be interchanged only with the correct BIOS version.

Just to make sure. Your HDMI is plugged in directly to your GPU correct?

Also, if this is a first time build, where is the old GPU coming from?
