First Nvidia Tegra 3 Device May Launch November 9

It won't be launched on November 9th. It's going to be announced. Way to makeup a news story to get hits. Every news site is going to be eating their damn lunch when they realize that they can misinterpret the words and get everything wrong.

I'll be surprised if this hits the shelves before January....That's a bit more realistic.

I read the article on EE Times as well and don't see anything that makes me think this won't happen on the ninth. The EE Times article did say it didn't look like ICS would be on this tablet however.

Regardless of launch date, if the Tegra 3 tablets hit the same price points and build quality as the Tegra 2 tablets I've owned, they'll be competitive. Still waiting to see what the new OMAP SoC looks like as well, some benchmarks but not a plethora of devices out there yet.
 
I think you are right about it being announced and not really available on the 9th. After the new year would be my guess. I was hoping it would be so that I could get one for christmas or even better yet, get a transformer 1 super cheap on black friday. I have an Acer Iconia and love it, but I think the screen on the transformer is much better. Of all the tablet devices, they are the only ones that have not dipped bellow $399 for the 16 gig model. That gives you a good idea of how well they have been doing.
 
I was so close to buying a tablet just a few weeks ago, but saw this rumor and cannot wait.

I was hoping the 11/9 announcement would mean the release was near, but worry that it'll take some time to get to the market.

Back to counting my pennies for the official release...

Wow - I've only had my Tegra 2 tablet for a few months and it's obsolete already! Phones I can understand but is this becoming the way for tablets too?!
 
i am an iFan all the way, i just bought an iphone 4s and i love it and i was just thinking in getting a tablet, of course the first tablet to cross my mind was the ipad 2 but after seeing this post i think i will wait to november 9 so i can get this tablet.... its going to be my first device running android... i jut hope its as good as iOS...
 
I hope to have one on the day they arrive. The Tegra 3 tablet will really put the iCrap in the back seat. My neighbor has a iCrap2 and he can not even download pictures from his camera unless he buys some kind of dongle and then that only works for camera pictures. I also have a Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet and it is light years ahead of the icrap2. I can connect my portable HD via usb and work with my Office 2010 apps. I wish my Lenovo had the Tegra 3 also. I should have waited.....
