I am considering building a computer when I save up enough money, and I need some advice. My budget is $1400, and I plan to do some video recording and editing. I am willing to upgrade in the future, so I don't need to start with a maxed out PC. I do not want to put liquid cooling in my first build either. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

THE BUILD

I'd make a couple of changes to improve upon what you've got.
RAM: It's cheaper and 1866MHz. Gotta buy that for sure.
GPU: The EVGA 970s have issues. Google it. Buy the Asus STRIX instead.
PSU: Rosewill Hive? yeah. It has good reviews and that price is wow. The CX series sucks.
CPU Cooler: You have a good mobo for overclocking. This cooler will help push it further and super quiet.

Thank you and I will make sure to look into these parts. What companies are the best to buy computer parts from other than newegg?

Newegg is famous cuz of the sheer volume. I'd guess that Newegg and Amazon are the top two, but not sure if they are the best for customer service. However, I'd buy the components from whichever has best deal. Another option is to try to buy from maybe two sellers in order to keep the shipping costs down, but price goes up. Lastly, if you are lucky, you might be able to get a killer price on a CPU+mobo combo at Microcenter. Do you have that store near you?

The only computer store that is within 1 hour from my house is Best Buy so in store pickups are out. Do you have any websites where there are comparisons between the Evo 212 and the Noctura Heat sinks?

I have actually been looking at cases for a couple years, and my favorite one I have even see in the NZXT Phantom 410. This might sound picky, but I highly prefer the NZXT Phantom cases.
