Below is a link to my planned 1st PC build, I'm to add an optical drive (https://www.amazon.co.uk/LiteOn-IHAS124-14-SATA-Internal-DVDRW/dp/B00ERJXTE4/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1473179244&sr=1-1&keywords=optical+drive) and I think I'm good to go

However, to avoid being stuck, I'd appreciate some tips on what bits and bats I need to make sure I can connect everything together and get up and running asap

The Mobo says batteries aren't included, the optical drive needs SATA cables separately etc. etc.

so what do I need, are all cables included in the respective pieces of kit? what extras should I be buying?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated - Cheers in advance

You're going to want 1 extra sata cable, thatbboard only comes with two.

You can do a better skylake build for the lesd money though mate in all fairness.

It's always good to have extra SATA cables handy.

What is the use of this PC? If this is a rig for gaming, it's a bit unbalanced - an i5 with a better GPU would be a better configuration if that's the goal.
