I'm planning a new home office PC build w/ HTPC capability. So far I've settled on:
Case: APEVIA X-PACK-NW-BK/420;
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-A75M-UD2H FM1;
CPU: AMD A8-3850 Llano;
Optical Drive: Samsung Black Blu-Ray Combo SATA Model SH-B123L (OEM);
OS: MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Looking for HDD (at least 1 TB) and RAM suggestions. I won't do any overclocking, etc. - just plug everything in & go. Thanks!

Other thought: I would like USB 3.0 ports at the front (e.g., Thermaltake ARMOR A30 VM70001W2Z Black SECC MicroATX Mini Tower), but don't want the distraction of blue LED's all over the place. So other Micro ATX case suggestions are appreciated. Budget? $600 - $700 max.

Thanks for your reply...I selected this case based on the following from Newegg:

"Compact, portable and stylish, the APEVIA X-QPACK is compatible with any Micro ATX motherboard, delivering a perfect solution for users looking for a compact and dynamic PC case for Media Center or HTPC application."

What am I missing here?

That post wasn't for you. I was replying to LegendKiller who suggest a incompatible board and case.
The Lian Li case he pick is Mini ITX and board he picked is MicroATX.
MicroATX is larger than mini-itx thus that board will not fit into that case.
