First I will list the parts I have currently narrowed it down to based on my research (mainly ign since I am under the assumption that it’s reputable) I really want to have the storage and quality I need without spending a <Mod Edit> ton on each part but I don’t know if the stuff I’ve picked is actually any good and whether or not I even need all these parts lol. Please let me know if I can replace or remove any unnecessary parts to make this build more affordable but still good quality and well performing. If theres any other things Ive missed please let me know! Thank you for reading :)

HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 4TB ($67)
PSU: MSI MPG A750GF Gaming Power Supply ($130)
SSD: Western Digital 1TB WD Blue SN570 ($51)
Monitor: ASUS 23.8” IPS FHD 75Hz Frameless ($109) what does frameless mean
RAM (Desktop Memory): Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB ($55)
CPU: Intel Core i5-13400F ($210)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 ($110)
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 X V2 ($150)
GPU: ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 12GB ($350)
Case: LIAN LI High Airflow ATX PC Case ($190)
Keyboard: UBOTIE Colorful Wireless Keyboard ($41) OR MageGee Keyboard and Mouse Combo ($30) OR Logitech Pop Keys ($110) *I don't know if its posible but if I could find a keyboard that would be compatible with both a desktop and iPad Air that would be great (preferably a clicky keyboard that’s pastel colored)
and the chair I want rn is $95

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
  • Will be using it for college fashion design / visual & digital art (possibly photoshop or connecting to procreate?), casual gaming like stardew valley and other typical “girl” games (no war games), and possibly streaming or editing videos.
What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?
  • $1200-1500ish max
When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
  • Will be buying/building this summer
**What, exactly, do you need to be included in the budget? (Tower/OS/monitor/keyboard/mouse/etc)
  • Tower, OS, monitor, keyboard & mouse (probably together), all pc parts, ($100 set aside for gaming chair), and computer server
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
  • US, I have a micro center nearby
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
  • N/A
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
  • Im not sure, possibly?
Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
  • Just want a good amount of storage because I’m using it for both work and leisure, plus on every Apple device I’ve had (MacBook, ipad, and phone) somehow the storage has always ran out and I’ve had to delete a lot, just live with it, or upgrade, I really don’t want this to be an issue for my pc.
What type of network connectivity do you need? (Wired and/or WiFi) If WiFi is needed and you would like to find the fastest match for your wireless router, please list any specifics.
  • Using wireless WiFi
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-tower/full-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
  • Pink or pastel color or creme and either colorful or soft white LED
Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
  • Yes, and also how do you purchase a copy of windows and is windows the best for my purposes (also are windows screens customizable like can you put a gif for your lock screen thing cause I’ve seen people with that before.)

You did a decent enough job putting together your first parts list. I would make some changes like so to maximize the value and performance of the PC. The cooler you chose is one of the best air coolers ever made, however, you do not need all that cooling power. You would be much better of saving 60 dollars here and spending it elsewhere. Here is what I would reccomend at this price point. I would definitely get a Microcenter CPU+RAM+motherboard combo to save a lot of money on really nice parts. I would pick the set of logitec POP keyboard and mouse. They have bluetooth so they should be compatible with the iPad.

iPad will work with Bluetooth on some functions, but you still need a hard wired USB-C connection (on M1/M2 iPads) in order to be able to transfer files and data back and forth.

Customizing the lock screen on Windows is relatively easy. If you're converting from Mac / Apple, there are a few settings you will have to get used to, but for the most part it's pretty simple.

As far as purchasing a license goes, your best bet is to get what's called a $99 system builder (OEM) license. The only downside is that OS key is married to whatever motherboard you install it on (although on Windows 10 version 21H2 and Windows 11, you can tie the OS key to your Microsoft account), so if you change out the motherboard, you will have to purchase a new key. One thing you will have to watch out for is that there are a lot of shady OS license sellers out there on places like Amazon. If you go the OEM route, purchasing the official OEM DVD will be the best way to go about doing this.

@astrólogo y it's best to start these threads a week or less before you plan to purchase due to constant price changes, available inventory and new tech releases. As has been pointed out your choice of cpu and motherboard are not compatible with each other. For your needs you want 32GB of RAM, not 16GB. Also you have a lot of your budget invested in the case and cpu cooler which is a bit of a budget killer. Nvidia is due to release the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 within the next month so keep your eyes on sites such as this one for the reviews and prices of those cards. With that said this gives you a rough idea of what you can do with your budget.
