Hello,
First post here ever, but I have read many posts here before. And yes, I know this has been asked a thousand times before...
So I'm building a PC for Video Editing in Adobe Premiere and After Effects. It's secondary purpose will be Gaming. I have already bought two components and am wondering where I could improve in the future. My main concerns are cable management and cooling. I will list the parts that I am considering at the moment and note which I have bought. My budget is around $2100 so I won't be able to buy anything far too greater than the below mentioned components. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated as this is my first serious PC build and I would not like to screw up.
Components:
CPU - intel i7 4790K - Bought already as it was on sale
CPU cooling - Not sure if I need one, but at the moment I'm planning on buying CM SEIDON 120V WATER COOLER
GPU - Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 ROG Poseidon 3GDDR5 384bit - Bought already as it was on sale
MOBO - Asus Z97 MAXIMUS VII HERO, Socket 1150
RAM - CORSAIR Vengeance™ Low Profile, CL9 (CML16GX3M2A1600C9), 2x8GB 1600MHz
PSU - SEASONIC SS-1050XM GOLD
Case - Thermaltake Shark
HDD - Planning on 3x1TB, haven't decided which ones yet
SSD - Planning on 1x128GB, haven't decided which one yet

My recommendation is to send back the GTX 780 and SLI two 980s. For editing and gaming, these things are fricking beast.

Thank you for your reply. I will consider fiddling around my parts a bit thanks to you. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to switch the video cards as they are way too expensive from where I am able to buy them. However I now know what kind of SSD to buy, which is very good. I hope that this experimental GPU that I have won't let me down. I only bought it because It was on sale. There is room for upgrades in the future. It will be beast performance compared to my old PC even though it's not the optimal out there. And by the time I need newer and more powerful components I will have enough money so it's really no problem.
Once again thank you for your valuable information.
P.S.: I wish I lived in the states and have access to all of these parts :/

Your very welcome. Avoid the MAXIMUS motherboards, they are overpriced. If you want to save more on a cooler, you can go for a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. The 780 is still an excellent gpu, although if you have the cash buy the 970. It is cheaper, but one of the two new Nvidia cards that is amazing. If you can't afford it, stick with that 780. The PSU is overkill, but it will futureproof the rig. Also, go for the Phanteks case, it is amazing quality for the price.

I would love to get the 2x 980s but I think you misunderstood me with the budget too. It was 2100 for everything, from which I spent on the GTX780 and the i7 as they were with huge discounts. Originally I was planning on a 760 but this offer came up in the last minute and was for slightly more than the 760 so I went for it. I hope I can find a Phanteks case, but I'm not sure if there are any around where I'm from. And about the PSU I do realize it's an overkill, but I'm planning to upgrade this rig later on and maybe then go for an SLI GPU setup etc. so I want to future proof myself.
And about the cooling - I'm still not sure whether I should stick with Air cooling for the GPU(since it's hybrid) and for the CPU. I'm sure the CPU will do well with the one you recommended, I'm just very cautious with overheating as I'm told that these GPUs tend to overheat.
Also about the HDD the setup - shouldn't I try to configure some sort of RAID or something? I'm not exactly familiar with HDD setups so please excuse me. What I know is that with the RAID setup you have two HDDs where one constantly backs up the other. That's crucial as loosing video material will be way too devastating.
Once again thank you.
