First PC Build (Gaming - £700)

Aug 11, 2011
I'm a complete newbie when it comes to building PC's, the only experience upgrading I have is RAM. How difficult will it be? What if I break something? If I build it and a part doesn't work what do I do? Would it be worth paying extra to get someone to put it together for me? Any other advice?

As in the title, I'm looking for a Gaming build for around £700, I'm looking to play current and future games (2012-) at medium settings at least.
I have a general idea of the parts I want and I don't need any Accessories or OS.

I've been looking at these parts to get so far:

Asus P8P67 Pro R3 Motherboard]
Intel Core i7 2600k 3.4GHz]
XFX Radeon HD6870 1GB]
Kingston 8GB DDR3]
Samsung 1TB SATAII Hard Drive]
Samsung 22X DVD RW Optical Drive]

Suggestions for the additional parts? Anything I should change? Preferably from ebuyer but others based in the UK is fine. :)
