I am working on doing my first build ever and I am looking to see if this is a good set-up or if there are things that I should tweak and change in order to optimize it. Im not looking to go all out and Im trying to stay under $1,500 so that is also the reason for some of the choices. Thank you guys for any help!

For the CPU and motherboard, you could go with the 4690K which is Haswell and newer than Ivy Bridge (3570K) if they are the same price (they are here in Canada/USA). You'll get a bit more performance for the same price. The rest of the build looks fine to me.

Dude, the GTX 660 won't handle games on high as it might've used to. And for the money, he can ride with a GTX 970, which has way more performance and can scrunch up way more image quality.
