I ordered a
ryzen 5 2600x
EVGA 500 BR 100-BR-0500-K1 500W ATX12V,
ASRock B450M PRO4 AM4 AMD Promontory B450 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard,
Patriot Viper 4 Blackout Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model PVB48G300C6K,

Kingston 500GB A2000 M.2 2280 Nvme Internal SSD PCIe Up to 2000MB/S with Full Security Suite SA2000M8/500G,
and free pny gtx 750 1gb,
using an old acer aspire m3410 case. I hooked up everything and the CPU fan starts spinning without me hitting the power button (which isn't working but was working with the original components). The hdmi port got bent inserting the mini HDMI adapter so I can't tell if it will post yet. I will buy a dvi cable later, any ideas why the power button won't work? Also can I get to the bios without the graphics card?

Check to make sure all the cables from the power switch, HDD LED, etc... are plugged into the correct spots on the motherboard. If they are, you might have the cable backwards so the + pin and - pin are in the wrong spots and needs to be rotated 180 degrees.

That CPU do not have an iGPU on it so you must use a physical GPU. Therefore you will not be able to check on post withouth your GTX 750.

Received a donated dvi cable, so I can check to see if it post. The cpu fan stopped spinning without me changing the order I hooked it up in, so I did a paper clip jump test and psu is still working. I contacted amazon tech department and they said to replace the cpu, which they provided for free, (could the motherboard have died, because I have a no questions asked replacement policy). I am having trouble finding where everything is supposed to plug into the asrock b450 pro motherboard, can you help with connections placements?.

Page 28 in the manual has the information on where the headers (power switch, power led, etc) plug into. Page 7 in the manual has where it is located on the motherboard, it is number 16.

Thank you so much, I have it up and running. I just installed windows, I haven't done any benchmarks yet. I plan to upgrade the pny gtx 750 1gb to a gtx 1660 ti next month. Not sure if I want to go through the trouble of installing the new Ryzen 5 2600x since this one works just fine now. I will buy a new case and rgb lighting in February.
