First PC Build + Question

Solution
That's a 600W, and will be fine :) You can get it cheaper too http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-600W-Bronze-Power-Supply/dp/B00EN3FD20/

Please do ask away! I was new once and asked loads of questions - I thought SATA ports on the motherboard were USB ports so you've got one up on me there! ;)

You get a number of SATA cables with the motherboard, normally four :)

Couple of things:

PSU is way too powerful - unless you want future power options, go for a decent 500W.
I suggest you get a kit of 2x4 RAM to utilise dual channel!

Hey, thanks Mattios for the response! I picked the 750 W because I do plan on future power options, and I just want to have that extra wattage to be safe. Also, why do you recommend 2x4 RAM? The only problem with that is if I want to improve to 16 GB, I would have to buy two 8 GB. For now, do you think its fine if I stick with the 8 GB? (Since most games only require that?) Also, my motherboard only comes with 2 SATA cables. Do you think I'll still have enough?

The reason to get 2x4 RAM is it can work a tad faster because it is dual channel - i.e. two sticks of 4 rather than one of 8. However what you've selected will be fine.

You won't have enough cables because you've got a HDD, SSD and ODD, all of which need SATA cables.

Ok, so will these work in my build? http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballistix-PC3-12800-BLS2KIT4G3D1609DS1S00-BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00/dp/B006WAGGUK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1440353493&sr=8-2&keywords=dual+2x4+GB+ram

Also, do you recommend the 90 degree SATA cables, or the straight? Thanks!

Ok, thank you so much for all your help! I may seem annoying :p but its my first build haha. So this might be my last question. Haha. If I don't plan on using more power later on, are you positive that I'll be fine with just a 500 W power supply? And will this power supply work? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EON40CS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?&ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Because that'll save me some money, which i can invest in the RAM you recommended. Thanks!

PS. Im also planning not to overclock.

Another update: I see a lot of people on the Amazon reviews saying that people can't power an I5 CPU or GTX 970 with just a 500W, so I'm unsure...

Ok, are there any other 600 watt PSU? That will be compatible with what I have in my build? (At a lower cost and preferably with Amazon prime for free shipping haha)
