First PC Build: Where can I make cuts but maintain Very High to Ultra video quality for Arma 3?

This is my first PC build and I was wondering if this build will run games like Arma 3 with mods, DayZ, Bf4, etc. at 1080p and on Ultra settings? I wanted to try to achieve at least 30fps in online game (I'm aware that fps is constrained by the server, 30fps is just what I'm hoping for).

Additionally, the total I have is much more than what I was hoping to pay for. I was trying to go for somewhere around $1000, maxing out somewhere around $1200. So is there anywhere that I can make cuts to reduce costs but still maintain my goals?

This PC would likely be used for CAD as well, would I need to make any changes to for AutoCAD and SolidWorks?

Any pointers are very much appreciated!

I massaged it a little. The non K processor will play games as well as the 6600K, and you could overclock it if you wanted. The R9 390 can be had cheaper and trades blows with the GTX 970 in games.

It seems a pretty good setup to me, except for the GPU I would get an 8gb and water cooling if you can afford it.
For Arma 3, I have an AMD FX(tm)-9590 Eight-Core Processor and an AMD Radeon (TM) R9 390 Series graphics card and I get 30-40fps on campaign and 19 average for multiplayer. Arma 3 is not optimized very well even for the high-end computers so I would recommend getting a better CPU because people say that's what Arma 3 mainly runs off of.

Arma 3 generallly hates AMD so yeah.
