First PC Build - won't boot up?

Here's my setup

CPU: i7-4790k
PSU: 600w Corsiar (modular)
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD4H (ATX)
RAM: Vengence Pro 16GB DDR3
SSD: Crucial 256GB 2.5"
CASE: Coolermaster HAF XM Mid Tower

I'm aware I have no OS yet but cannot install as no signal to monitor.

Z87 with i7 4790K, I think you need update the BIOS ( F9 version) first. http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4488
You need other compatible cpu to update the BIOS then switch to the i7 4790K, or ask local PC shop for help.
Or return the z87, get the z97 MB.

BIOS compatibility is one of many possible causes of a "no video" problem. If you perform every step in the troubleshooting checklist found in the stickies at the top of the forum it will help you determine what's causing the problem. There's also a link to the checklist in my signature.
