This is my first PC build and was hoping to get some feedback on it and what I could have done better and if it will even work. I haven’t selected a case or any peripherals because I’m still selecting what components that the PC will eventually be made up of. I was going to use the PC without a graphics card and then eventually add it in later and use it for games like BF4.
Hopefully I didn’t embarrass myself too much by picking components that aren’t even compatible and get some feedback on what components I should swap out or suggest your own build.

Ok so i should get a 4670k to get the most out of the motherboard. Any suggestions on what case or cpu cooler i should get. I need a case that can hold the gtx 770 and big enough to hold the cooler.

The 4670k is slightly faster than the i5 4440, and also it is overclockable which makes a bit more future proof, if you don't want to overclock get a different type of motherboard e.g. H87 and keep the i5 4440.
For a case I believe the Corsair 300R should meet your requirements or maybe even the 200r. If your graphics card is less than 300mm then get the 200R however the 300R is a bit bigger as well.
If you want you could also get this PSU http://www.scan.co.uk/products/620w-seasonic-m12ii-620-modular-87-eff-80plus-bronze-12cm-silent-fan-s2fc-sli-crossfire-eps-12v-atx-
It's seasonic so it's really good and should serve you really well.

I’ve swapped out some components like the MOBO and RAM for slightly for cheaper ones in order to get the i5 4670K but kept the Z87 chipset. The 300R looks like a great case and I will most likely use it in my build.

Here are the new parts I’ve selected and will most likely add the GTX 770 later on

I was going to go with an AMD system at the start because it would be better optimized for BF4 and future titles like Krishna Moorthy said but the FX series don’t have integrated graphics so I would have to buy a GPU from day one. I also considered AMD’s A10 processors but if I ever wanted to upgrade the processor you would have to upgrade the MOBO as well. With Intel I could add a GPU later on and swap out the i5 4670K for an i7 if I ever wanted too.

So that’s my logic behind my build and would like some feedback.

Yeah it's a great idea, the iGPU should perform alright for daily needs and light gaming, you can also wait for the maxwell series of Nvidia GPUs to come out and have a look at those (I presume it will be 800 series) and decide if you want add one of their GPUs.
