I have never built a computer before so obviously my knowledge is minimal at best. I was trying to get a good idea of the parts that I wanted but wasn't sure if there were any red flags in regards to compatibility and if they are good pieces to use in general.

I am looking to make a cheap gaming PC knowing that I will upgrade the hardware in the future. Thanks, I appreciate the help.

CPU - AMD FX-8320 3.5 GHz
Motherboard - ASUS M5A78L
Memory - Crucial Ballistics 8gb DDR3-1866
GPU - XFX Radeon HD7850 2gb GDDR5
PS - Corsair CX600M 600 Watt ATX Modular
HHD - WD Blue 1TB 7,200 RPM 6.0Gb/s
Case - Diablotek EVO Mid Tower ATX

No, i'd say you did a pretty good job. They only change i would make would be to go for an FX 6300 and use the money i saved on that to get a better GPU like a 270x.

Thanks for the help guys. The reason I went with the FX-8320 instead of the FX-6300 is that they are selling them for only $99 and was still selling the FX-6300 for $109. I do like the motherboard you suggested better. I wasn't going to overclock right away so that I could save a few bucks on the heatsink. Once I had some more money, then buy a good one. Which brings up a good question. Is it very hard to change out heatsink fans once you have a completed build, or is it more of a nuisance than anything? Also, is the R9 270 a much better bang for your buck than the HD 7850?

It depends on your case, some cases have openings behind the CPU so you can easily switch out coolers, even still as long as you put in the time changing them is pretty simple.
