From a previous post which died so here I am, making a new one.
I need suggestions on how to maximize performance while not increasing the cost to over $1500 AUD. I have not included the mouse and keyboard, which is about $80. Also I do not need to get a copy of Windows as I already have one, but will need office.

Is there any particular reason to change the power supply, or is it just personal choice? Also is a 500w power supply strong enough?

I might change the motherboard to a Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H ATX motherboard for future upgradablility. And if I do, should I change case back to the 300r or is there a better, cheap case?
