First PC Build

My very first gaming PC build, I'm scared and excited at the same time. I'm not sure if this build is

solid, easily improved, or altogether bad. Selecting the components seemed a little too easy so

I'm very nervous. If there are any experienced builders that could look at my list of parts to

suggest better ones I'd appreciate it a ton. I feel like I'm missing something, If the build seems good then any advice on putting

it together that you feel I should know is also appreciated. Here's a list of the parts;

That's good to hear mate, so I'm set to start ordering these components? I was curious if there were any better parts anyone would recommend for an easier time.

If it counts at all, you could build a similar quality build while saving a lot more cash. It is a very good build, however price/performance wise it could be even better. You could save arguably ~200 dollars or more.

For example:

  • - i5-6600k might be a more ideal purchase, if for the majority you are only playing games.
    - R1 Ultimate is great! But do you wish to overclock to the max?
    - 250GB SSD space is still seen as the sweet spot. You think you will need 500GB, especially whilst already having 2TB of HDD space?
    - Could also get similar quality power supplies for 30 dollars less.

Yeah I was thinking of doing so as I will primarily be gaming but I'm looking to keep this system for a while which is why I went a bit ham on the storage haha. I was originally going to go for the GTX 1070 because I have a 1080p monitor 60hz, I decided to just future proof in case I decide to upgrade to lets say a 1440p 120hz/144hz monitor.

So I'm fine having three fans right? Might as well go the extra mile and order 3 fans that are higher quality or is that logic not good? Do I get significant temperature decreases or is it not worth it?

Linus tech tips found that the only reasoning behind expensive fans is for sound purposes, not necessarily cooling. You won't see any drastic temperature decreases.

I reckon I won't need those CPUs, also I'm impatient haha.

I'm going to order an additional 3 PC fans for a more silent experience and then order the rest of the components, this is fine correct? Don't want buyer's remorse or anything of the sort which is why I'm stressing so much about quality control.

This is my ammendments with a few different and preferred bits compared to yours, remember your parts-list hasn't included the price for the GTX 1080, you don't have to buy a founders card but it shows a relatively close price to what you will get.

I might just order this list haha, though I don't want to order the founder's edition 1080 as the cooling isn't as good as an after market one. Unless someone can confirm that it's not a major difference and I don't need to sit on newegg to snipe a good aftermarket one.

well its only going to be a difference during overclocking but yes thermals will be better on an aftermarket version. I'd suggest looking at the EVGA personally I find the ACX3.0 design looks awesome. Though it's all personal choice :3
