Hi, so im building a gaming PC and would love if anyone could look over what I have and let me know if there's any compatibility issues or perhaps recommendations for better components. From my current PC I already have a disc drive, 2 4 gig pieces of ram, and a graphics card. I'll be mainly using this PC for games like Arma 3, Squad, Rust, and Star Citizen.

Thanks

Buy a z270 mobo. The 7700k processor is the king of overclocking and the mobo you have chosen, B250 doesn't support overclocking. A z270 mobo will be about 30-50$ more expensive. Another thing I would look into is the cooler. 7700k processor produces quite a lot of heat and I'm not sure if that cooler is a great fit.

Wait a second... Where's the graphics card...?

Let me know if you need suggestions.

well the graphics card is something i already have, its a gtx 750 ti, its not much but itl get me through for a bit untill i feel the need to upgrade. mbilal2 id love if you could suggest a motherboard and better cooler. also what kind of ram works with this processor?

What is your budget? 850? Also add me on steam so we can play rust sometime? lol

id say around 950 for the budget, ok sounds good lol

well im not really goin for colors and flashyness, i just picked the case because it had good ratings and is cheap. also just realized i probably wont be able to use the ram from my old pc cause its probably ddr3 too. would something like https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16820233852 work? if so that brings the current price of build up to 809 (with motherboard and cooler removed)

That is a great RAM. I put it in for you. Here is your new PC build:

You can mess around and change stuff in there by clicking "edit part list".

These two rigs will set you for a good 5ish years. You will however need to upgrade your graphics card. It will be the only thing holding back your beast of a computer!

Let me know if u need more help. The cooler with the second build is one of the best air coolers for the price. You can pay about 50$ more and get a decent water cooler. :)

awesome builds, think il definatly look into the 2nd one, i need intel for all the horrible optimized games i play lol. thanks alot!

The M.2 SSD is super fast and that is where you will install the operating system (windows). If you run the first time and the second HDD is not being recognized, simply change the sata slot on the mobo. It should work just fine. Consider up-voting and picking the most helpful answer as the solution.
Oh and I almost forgot.
