First PC build

at the moment i have ge70 2pe apache pro msi laptop its like 3 or 4 years old by now i think cant wait to play games like ds3 with max settings lmao, so all the parts are okay? i could just order all these parts and put it together? power supply is okay and stuff?

i was talking to my brother and i think i'm going to change my cpu because of the performance hit that it may take with spectre/meltdown patch, which alternative cpu would you suggest that would go in its place?

thank you for the heads up man :)

close enough but im irish hahaha

probably not i don't really know what i'm doing lol i thought i needed that just to be able to use an ethernet cable

No mate, all modern boards have gigabit ethernet included.
Another 10 quid saved there then 😀

lmfao im glad i posted here then, thank you for the info man 😀

I'd agree - the only downsides, as far as I know
- Blower style cooler on the GTX 1080
- if you opt for 16GB, I *think* Dell does it as a single stick, so, RAM will be in single channel mode (not sure on this)
- Can at best opt for 2TB HDD.
- Not sure if their SSDs are as good as the Crucial MX500
- 460W Power supply (though, they do claim it's good enough to run up to 225W graphics cards)

Total comes to $1649, but then the TENOFF coupon puts it at $1484.10 though, depending on what state you're in, there could be sales tax.

Still, could be worth considering...
