First PC Build

Hi, I have recently built my first PC, but I am having a problem that has been present ever since the first boot.

First, the peripherals are as follow:

1× Xeon X5670 CPU, 1x Gigabyte GTX 970 Mini GPU, 1× Stick of 8GB RAM, Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R motherboard, Hyper 212 Heatsink, AeroCool Integrator 600W PSU (46A on 12V), 1x 500GB Hard Drive, 1x TP Link Wi-Fi Card.

Now for the actual problem:- Ever since the first boot of the PC, I had gotten random hangs/freezes. This occurs at any time - from the flash screen to when Windows is booting. This also meant that it took multiple days to install Windows 7 64-bit. Also, more often than not, the PC boots, but nothing displays. Fans are spinning, but nothing on the screen. I have tried this on several other displays, but to no avail. I have been told that my old 500W PSU that came with my case (bad idea, I know) was of poor quality, and was of insufficient quality to power my peripherals (22A on 12V). This was confirmed with some maths. I have recently received an AeroCool Integrator 600W PSU, but the problem persists. (If it is of any help, what I believe to be the north bridge heatsink - I am still quite new to computers - gets fairly hot after even a short period of usage.) Please help!!!

You are running a CPU that isn't qualified on that motherboard. That could be part of your problem...

I've checked and it is compatible

Sure rev 1.7 and 1.6 have same compatibility? (again, new to this stuff)

You didn't list a REV, but if you click on the little 1.6 near the model number of the board, you can see for yourself. That CPU is not qualified for a 1.6 board either.

I can't be SURE that is your problem. But it might be.
