I just built my first personal PC (I have built some PCs before, but never for myself), and when I plug it in, and activate the PSU, only the lights on the graphics card turn on. No fans, no other lights, not other components, nothing. I have checked and rechecked all connections, and none are loose. I took everything apart and rebuilt with the motherboard on the bag it came in, and everything outside the case.
Here are my specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K
RAM:Crucial DDR3-1600 8GB/1Gx64 CL11
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200RPM SATA3/SATA 6.0 GB/s
Graphics: Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 OC 4GB GDDR5
Motherboard: ASROCK Z97EXTREME3 ATX ATX SCK
Case: CORSAIR CARBIDE 200R ATX CASE
PSU: CORSAIR CX series CX600M 600W ATX12V v2.3 SLI
I have searched both here and on other forums, and have found no other issues like this discussed elsewhere, most similar ones were at least able to get to the BIOS. Any idea how I could figure this out?
Edit: Just tried it with a different PSU, and it did not works. It seems I have a dead motherboard
