because at that price I'd rather go with Skylake and build an i5-6600k+Z170board+DDR4 RAM for the same price

The ssd is very outdated and I suggest the m.2 960evo. Should be out in a few days and is about 10 times faster than the 840. Also the price is insane as that is almost twice the price for the capacity. The 1060 6GB can beat the 970 you have for a lower price. The 1060 is faster than the old 980.
