First Post!! ? About HP pavillion dm4-1265dx and 1080p video

Hi,

Please excuse my ignorance. what should i look for in a laptop to be able to play 1080p movies via hdmi?

i have a hp dm 1265dx coming from ebay and wonder if it will only be able to play 720?

You should get 1080 output from the HDMI, limitations on the built-in display do not affect the output to an external display
