My adjustment, Ryzen 1200 + rx 580 is a good enough for 1080p gaming, but you can stay with your Ryzen build and get 580 later:

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 3 1200 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($109.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: ASRock - AB350 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard ($55.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($156.34 @ Newegg Marketplace)
Storage: SanDisk - SSD PLUS 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($84.99 @ B&H)
Storage: Seagate - BarraCuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.88 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus - Radeon RX 580 4GB Dual Video...
Not terrible. Could go for cheaper fans and for a Ryzen 1200 if you wanted to try to fit something like a gtx 1050 into the build. Same thing for ram, you could go 8gb now and upgrade when prices drop. Just a couple of thoughts if you wanted to upgrade gpu. Otherwise, seems decent.

Could also look at the ASRock AB 350 Pro 4 if you wanted to save a few bucks more.

I wouldn't touch that case with a 10 foot pole - most Raidmax products are pretty synonymous with "cheap junk". For $20 more you can get an NZXT Source 220 or a Corsair 200R and they are far better. Avoid Raidmax.

i would drop the ssd out and get the ryzen 5 1600 instead, he could get the ssd a few weeks or months later, wouldnt hurt him to live without ssd a little longer

Yeah I agree, it's easier to add in an SSD than to change out the CPU.

The fans are cheapest pwm fan i could found here, also with Ryzen 1600, i intend to skip the next gen processor,
And only update with the latest supported AM4 Processor , in the next 3 or 4 years,
Hopefully if AMD keep their promise and dont require new board :wahoo:

RAM, catually i still dont understand how 2 ch works if i have 4 stick ,
How much the RAM price increase nowadays? i believe not huge as GPU which almost twice the MSRP, also i do multitasking a lot

Mobo, thats is the most used b350 here, any bad news about that mobo? if any, pls dont say too much, i already made a payment haha

nice adjusment with equal total price

some things to note
i see all the mid range GPU are overpriced, i can't afford any this time, maybe i will look for some second hand unit
the RAM, is good, but not listed on mobp's QVL, so i will go with safe pick

So far on the AB350m Pro 4, which like I said I think is the micro atx version of that same board, I've got my 1600 at 3.7ghz. 3.69 in Wndows if you want to split hairs, but I'm running that with the stock cooler. I have another cooler however that I got with a much stronger fan that I'm going to see if I can squeeze a little more out of. I had it at 3.8 but sometimes the system would just give a black screen and everything would stay running, but it was almost like the cpu shut off. The motherboard has some type of temperature protection so I'm not sure if that's just kicking in.

I figure the B350 board needs a bit more cooling on the VRMs, but I'm in a smaller case at the moment, I already had a cooler master vortex plus, and found a fan that fit it that is supposed to move 82cfm. But 45db noise levels. I've yet to install it with that fan, but I'm curious to see if it lets me push my overclock a bit higher than the stock cooler. My case actually has a cutout for a top exhaust fan, but with my case, the top is too close to my vrms on the board, so I can't fit the top fan in. I may switch cases down the line.
