I wrote out the whole explanation for the parts I've replaced, and when I posted it I noticed that it was the duplicate post and that my post was deleted.

Well that's just bad luck. I'm not typing it all out again, but if you want to know anything about a specific part just let me know and I'll tell you.

Here's the revised build.

Total silence is what you'll get from this system.

Solution

I noticed the change in the motherboard, memory, video card, and storage
I'll try to keep my questions short and to the point;
1 If I'm willing to spend it, will additional RAM be worth the $$
2 I don't think there is a difference in the video card performance as it has the same chipset as the one I picked. can you verify?
3 I am most confused about the motherboard, it seems like the one you picked has much fewer features. I'm not looking to pay for a bunch of things I don't need, so whats the biggest (noticeable) difference between the two parts?

thank you for your time!

1. Unless you're going to be doing video editing or rendering, then anything more than 8GB will be useless. Most games today will use a maximum of 6GB anyway.

2. They're both the same card, the only difference may be the cooling, but Zotac is a pretty decent brand and the performance you get from running these two cards in SLI will still destroy many other cards out there. The 770 I've selected is a pretty good one, and if you overclock them yourself, you can get them to the performance of the other one's you've selected.

3. Well, the ASUS board I've selected for your is the correct socket with the newly upgraded CPU, as the 4770K is LGA 1150, while the other one was LGA 1155. This Z87 board does come with less features, but it is a solid, reliable motherboard. There is basically no difference between the two motherboards except for the extra features on the old board, but if you really need them, then you can find another 1150 board like that. I just recommend this one because it's in a good price bracket and gets the job done. (also have I mentioned that I think it looks hella good?)

and no problem.
