First thing to upgrade

Hey.. currently using,
Gpu : gtx 650
cpu : i3
for my gaming

... im looking to upgrade the gpu to a 670, or 770 and the i3 to a i5
What would be the best to update to make most difference first thanks

Just a general upgrade for my gaming really,

4gb ram
intel i3 -3220
1600-900 res
Asus P8H61-MX MicroATX Motherboard

I am updating the cpu and gpu but id just like to know the best thing to do first?

Yes.
GTX 650 will be enough to handle games at lower resolution or lower settings. Just gotta get used to it until capable of purchasing another GPU.

I would upgrade GPU to a 670/760/770 first as there's where you will notice an immediate difference since most games are heavily GPU based. Then later on upgrade to an i5.

Also make sure your psu will be able to handle the upgrade.

I feel like i3 dual core won't be able to do much, even the least recommended gaming processor (Athlong X4 750K) is a quad-core, so I thought getting at least an i5 would be the better way out especially when GTX 650 isn't a legacy GPU. What do you think?

With an i5 the overall system out of gaming would be faster, but for gaming upgrading the graphics card will make a very noticeable difference. An i3 isn't that bad paired with a 760 so in case your worried, the performance will be silky smooth. However there are some cpu intensive games, and that's where the i5 would be the second upgrade down the road.
