Ok, so I recently borrowed an old motherboard from a friend which I am now attempting to install on my own computer. The problem is, I don't have a CD or any other "official" hardware to boot the mobo. ALTHOUGH, I do have a usb-stick which appears to be compatible with this motherboard. Is there any way I could boot the board by running the correct drivers through said usb-stick?

Your wisdom is very appreciated!

P.S:
This is my first post ever here on Tom's Hardware, so if my question lacks any vital details, just tell me.

You don't install the motherboard maker's drivers until after you've installed an OS on the hard drive and that OS is actually running.
It's not the motherboard that boots, it's the hard drive with the OS on it. The motherboard just makes that possible.

Just to make it clear, if you've changed the motherboard on your system you must now re-install Windows to avoid all manner of problems from hardware errors to 'Genuine Windows' validation errors.

You can get the motherboard drivers from the maker's website. Install the "Chipset" drivers first.
