First time, budget build advice?

I am looking into building my first pc.
It will be used to play fortnite until I get sick of it. Otherwise it will be used for media storage, media streaming, Microsoft office, and web surfing.
I would like to leave room for upgrades in case I start gaming beyond fortnite.

I've been looking at used cpus like the:
-AMD FX8370 (4.0GHz, 8 core, 8 thread)
-intel i3 8100 (3.6GHz, 4 core, 4 thread)
-AMD Ryzen 5 2400G (3.9GHz, 4 core, 8 thread)

I was told by a friend not to choose the fx series because it cant be easily upgraded. I was told to pick a newer i7.

I'm looking to build myself a pc that wont need to be upgraded in the foreseeable future, granted I dont get heavy into gaming. I want one of my bragging points to be that it was inexpensive, even if it means I buy a used CPU, etc.

Please comment anything you think of.

BUDGET:
My full budget will be $500, but I want to spend as little as possible to start, considering I wont need a lot for watching videos and fortnite isnt very demanding.

LOCATION: U.S.A.

MY UNEDUCATED PICK: I'm seriously considering ryzen 5 2400G because it has enough built in graphics for me to work with. What does everyone think of this ??
