First time build ~$1200

Hi All. I'm totally new to building a PC. I have changed hard drives, upgraded RAM, re-installed OS before but nothing from ground up.

I'm wondering if there are any recent/recommended builds close to my price range.

Additional info is below. I'm sorry if this is too generic. I just found this website today. I am going through the other threads as I type this Thanks for reading!

i suggested a z77 board just in case if you want to change the cpu in the future to overclocked one , since the h77 boards are prices very near to the z77.

How would you rate the noise level from the cpu with the above recommended case and graphics card? It would be nice if it's decently silent.

And I'll mostly go for a 128GB SSD, and add on more storage later.

The Phantom 410 is one of the best case choices you can buy right now - should be fairly silent for the most part.

And I'll mostly go for a 128GB SSD, and add on more storage later.

I'd do the opposite - get mass storage now, add the SSD later. SSDs are nice to have but I compare it to getting the navigation system on a car - sure it gets you from point A to point B quicker but it's also expensive and you can leave it off and add one later and it'd still serve the same purpose. 128GB will fill up very quickly if this is a gaming system.

overclocking will gain you just a couple of fps in gaming.

no no g-unit i was just saying that you included a overclock-able cpu and he don't want to overclock and you didn't include OS. and the z77 board its just a look into the future and he can change it to h77 one if he will never overclock even in the future.

My first build listed has the same plus bronze PSU from reliable manufacturer and nzxt410 and as OP stated overlocking is not needed, you just complicating everything for him.
