Approximate Purchase Date: by Christmas

Budget Range: Roughly $1000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, everyday PC, streaming movies

Are you buying a monitor: Using 4K Sony smart tv at the moment.

Parts to Upgrade: New build

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: whatever is cheaper with good ship times.

Location: Modesto, CA USA. About an hour south of Sacramento.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: Sony 4K tv

Additional Comments: For now I am perfectly fine with 1080p. I just want to be able to run most games at max or close to. I like sim games (fs17, forza, etc) also Fallout, Skyrim, GTA V. No online FPS

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: bigger Game library than console and mods. And my ancient entry level laptop is a POS.

This is my first PC build ever. I’ve messed with computer my whole life but never built one before. I’m fairly capable electronically. I’ve built a drone from pieces, soldering and the such.

Thanks everyone!

A little over your budget, but well worth it...

Couple of questions, the comparability check said that a b-450 Mobo needed bios flashed which needed an old CPU to do. I don’t have any other CPU to do that. Also is the 1070ti worth the extra $100 sacrificing the Mobo for?

OP, your ram config is wrong. It should be a 2x4gb config for dual channel. Ryzen is very ram sensitive. Mine is also a bit over, but I don't have any mail in rebates included.
