here's the parts list that i am am planning on purchasing i want to make sure im not missing anything big or small that i would need to buy, thanks for anyone's input.

P.S. don't plan on over clocking at the get go so i am going to buy a aftermarket cpu cooler when i plan to do that, and i know i need a keyboard and mouse already have them

There is more to performance, than clock speed, or number of cores. Intel's architecture is more efficient and can do more per core/clock, than AMD can. In many games, an i3 can keep up with, if not beat, an FX 8350. For a gaming rig, 8gb is still sufficient. If you really want 16gb, you could go with a less expensive board, to offset the cost.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($199.88 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: ASRock H110M-HDV Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($54.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($74.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB...
Not a good choice, at all. FX is over 3yrs old. Don't trust that PSU either. 128gb SSD is not all that useful. R9 380 is also a bit faster, than the 960.

You don't need to upgrade bios, every bios version of your motherboard supports this CPU. One thing I would do is drop down to a lower PSU, you don't need 750w, even 550W would be enough and upgrade to r9 380 or gtx 970/390 if you have the money, if this PC is gaming oriented that is, if not share the purpose of the pc.

thank you for correcting me, and could you explain why that cpu is better because as far as i can see the digits don't match at all like the clock speed and number of cores

and another thing is 16gb of ram a bit overkill since you made it 8
