[SOLVED] First time build. Issues with computer staying on.

I've recently built a Pc for the first time and have ran into a problem I can't seem to find any advice for.

Once I power on the PC, it'll run fine for some time, then randomly cut off. When that happens, the LED on the front of my case starts blinking as does my other LEDs, and all fans in the build spin for a second for stopping. Two seconds pass, then they spin again and stop. If I press the power button nothing happens, so I have to turn it off via the power supply switch. Once I turn it back on again, the same problem occurs.

I waited a while to see if the problem resolved, and it did, but some time later the issue happened again. This has happened about 4 times now and I'm really at a loss as to what's happening.

I'm sorry if this has been answered, but I would really appreciate any help on this matter please. Thank you for your time.

ASROCK FM2A68M- HD+ motherboard
2 x DDR3 4GB 1600hz Samsung RAM
Cryorig H7 CPU cooler
Gigabyte gv-n730-2gi graphics card
Corsair VS450 PSU
Seagate 1TB HDD
Aerocool Shard Case

2) Check your MB to see which version BIOS the MB has.

Hi, thanks for your response.
My CPU was listed as supported and had the correct Bios version. I took a look at that list you mentioned, but none of that seemed to work.

I left it again for a while. Then went back to it, and managed to get it to work for a little while, about 15 minutes, before it shut off and the same problem occurred again. The CPU was running at about 40°C just sitting at the desktop screen with no programs running. Not sure if that makes any difference but.

Test the RAM, one of them may has problem.

Also if you got the APU, then try use the amd gpu instead of the gt730.

Do you have a second power supply to test with? You can temporarily set the computer case on it's side, unplug the pre-existing power supply then plug the test power supply in without having to unplug and plug every single cable in.

No problem. Local stores have return policies. You can return the PSU when you are finished, dependent upon the outcome.
